Summer is a great time for shooting outside, so when we scheduled Chris and Megan’s Beach Engagement for late June I was excited. Engagement sessions are a great way to get your clients comfortable. When their wedding day finally arrives, it helps to have worked together before.
Chris is an old friend who had reached out for wedding photography. His fiancé Megan I had never met before but she was extremely relaxed and fun. We opted to do Chris and Megan’s beach engagement session during the early morning hours when the sun was rising. They brought their dogs along for the shoot which proved to be a bit difficult. Luckily, I was thinking ahead and brought some dog treats with me to keep them sitting for a few shots. After, we let the dogs run around close by while I continued with the couple.
We arrived at Washington Boulevard beach where Chris had grown up. The light was very soft and beautiful. We decided it was best to schedule Chris and Megan’s beach engagement shoot on a warm, sunny day. The sunrise was incredible. We walked the shoreline, boardwalk, sand and played on the jetties. Chris and Megan were easier to work with than I had anticipated. They were very relaxed and the session came natural to all of us.
Chris and Megan’s Beach Engagement shoot was a great way to work together before their wedding on July 6 at Brotherhood Winery. They loved their engagement photos and I was so excited to hear that from them. Keep an eye out for Chris and Megan’s Wedding at Brotherhood Winery. The wedding is July 6th, 2019 in Washingtonville, NY.
