The most magical Puerto Rico waterfall engagement session last week went down with Dana and Donato.
Who doesn’t love a beautiful Puerto Rico waterfall engagement?
I’ll be honest, most days you can find me on the beach. I love it and it is a huge part of my life. Further, getting to shoot with couples walking along the shoreline during the golden sunset hour can also be quite beautiful. However, recently I’ve been finding it hard to get motivated to create at the beach. I want to look for a variety of scenery and find little pockets of pretty light during a session and sometimes when shooting at the beach your options are limited. So, for Dana and Donato’s engagement session I recommended we head about an hour away to San Sebastian. “How do you guys feel about shooting at the Gozolandia Waterfalls,” I asked. They both jumped at the idea and we planned to meet early in the morning to avoid any crowds and get the best light.
When we arrived, there was not another car or person in sight. It was about 7:30 AM when we began hiking down the trail to the first waterfall. When we started they were both a bit timid, but Dana loosened up quick. Before long they were laughing, kissing and taking in the scenery all around them.
After taking a stroll to the second waterfall and shooting along the way, the sun really started to peak over the ridge and come through the trees. I stopped them quite a few times so I could capture some nice moments using the sun. This Puerto Rico Waterfall engagement session with Dana and Donato turned out to be one of my favorites. They are set to get married in October, 2020 at Hacienda Miramar in Rincon, Puerto Rico and I cannot wait.
